    Election Day is tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 2) -- Don't Forget to Vote! It. Matters.

    Election Night 2010 Vote Naked Viewing Party, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 8 pm
    Join The Center's Young Professionals Council in partnership with Eden San Diego and Chile Co. Catering, San Diego Gay & Lesbian News, and FlawLes Media and Events to watch the election results roll in on Tuesday, Nov. 2. The fun starts at 8 pm at Eden (1202 University Ave.). Enjoy a hosted bar and appetizers by Chile Co. culinary artists from 8-9 pm then mix and mingle until midnight. RSVP is required to enter this event. RSVP at http://vote.sdgln.com

    Food Distribution, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 9 am

    The San Diego LGBT Community Center hosts a distribution site once a month for the Community Cares Project of the San Diego Food Bank. On the first Tuesday of every month, 9-10:30 am, visit The Center's parking lot for a "one-stop-shop." Receive emergency food, pre-screen for Food Stamps and sign up for a range of other services, including employment and medical as well as low-cost utility programs.     Guys, Games & Grub, Wednesday, Nov. 3, 6:30 pm

    Have a hankering for an evening of board games, card games and pizza? Like the sound of a free monthly social event for guys 21+, where you'll meet interesting men of all ages? Then don't miss Guys, Games & Grub on the first Wednesday of every month from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the San Diego LGBT Community Center, 3909 Centre St. For more information, contact Jeffrey Wergeles at (619) 692-2077, ext. 204, or jwergeles@thecentersd.org.

    Hillcrest Wind Ensemble: Fall Classics, Saturday, Nov. 6, 7 pm
    The Hillcrest Wind Ensemble presents Fall Classics, a concert of hauntingly beautiful music, at 7 pm on Saturday, Nov. 6 at The First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego (4190 Front St.). Music will include "Themes from Scheherazade," "Night on Bald Mountain," selections from "Carmina Burana," two new works for wind ensemble and other fall music.     Free Emergency Preparedness Workshop, Sunday, Nov. 14, 1 pm
    Are you ready for when disaster strikes? Join Family Matters and 50 & Better Together at The Center for an informative and practical workshop on emergency preparedness; at home, work or in your car. Do you have the necessary items to survive a major earthquake? Do you even know what they are? Come learn what you really need to know. The American Red Cross will provide you with the needed information. Giveaways will include tote bags and emergency radios.     LGBT Caregivers & Grief Support Group, First and Third Monday of each month, 5:30 pm
    50 & Better Together announces the addition of a new support group to our schedule, the LGBT Caregivers & Grief Support Group, taking place on the first and third Monday of each month at 5:30pm at The Center. Facilitated by professionals from Silverado Hospice, this group will focus on those who are currently taking care of loved ones with terminal illness, as well as those who have recently faced a loss or death.
