This is an effort to educate the public about the much needed repeal of DADT. For the first time ever LGBT will be marching in this parade in front of both military brass and military families. This is a very military area. It is our intent to create a pro LGBT positive image. MCAS Camp Pendleton is an important community to effect a change of attitude about LGBT in. Consistently the Marine Corps Joint Chief representatives have always pushed for DADT support; so this is our chance to change hearts and minds. Now while we are working on the Repeal of DADT it is very important that we get LGBT and ally volunteers to march with us. We will have 2 LGBT contingents and will split the volunteers equally. Where equality and pro repeal DADT t shirts. We have plenty of banners that we had to get permission to have in the parade. No signs, because this is a celebration not a protest.
